Words and Music by Tex Lavallee © 2003 Tex Lavallee Musical Publications Registered member of Socan
~chorus, part one~ He was the smartest horse of the movies Trigger was his name as you know with his great partner Roy Rogers He was galloping across the silver screens and between some action scenes he was always doing some good tricks for the pleasure of the boys and girls and everyone in the theater. ~verse # 1~ He was a very nice Palomino that many of us dream to own. A gentle and smart stallion always popular on video but he's now gone forever but he will never be forget [forgotten]. Trigger you was the very best and that why I wrote this special song ~verse # 2 musical partition~ If you want to go back in time just go to the Rogers Museum and you will see him over there mounted and looking good as he was with his silver bridle and saddle. It seem it/he will start to run It will bring you a lot of good memories of this great horse of the movies.
